Green cloth with gilt lettering and illustration on the front board and gilt lettering on the spine. Decorative endpapers. 409 historical and informative pages nicely enhanced by black and white photographs and illustrations and approximately 130 half-tone and color plates! Extremely rare and hard-to-find first edition! "This report on the apples of New York is the outgrowth of one of the lines of investigation which from the first has been a distinctive feature of the work carried on at this Experiment Station.
