(1st) Slightly smaller book, brown cloth spine, smooth black cloth boards, gilt and silver illustration of horses at front right, gilt and silver lettering on spine, elaborate map with illustration inside covers and adjacent end papers of journey through the Southwest, 254 lightly browned heavy pages. DJ heavy paper, color-illustration of front of Spaniards and American Indian, white back slightly soiled and lightly browned. DJ has slight wear to tips, microtear at top front edge, small surface tear at top front right, very tiny surface wear spots near middle front bookfold edge, slight wear and microtears at spine edges, nick at bottom back edge. Near Good DJ/Fine book.
