The author is Dr. Kenneth A. Kitchen, Reader in Egyptian & Coptic in the School of Archaeology & Oriental Studies at the University of Liverpool. He reviews Professor Bright's "History of Israel" which was extensively revised in 1972. Kenneth Kitchen states that John Bright's work is the standard of its kind and far outstrips in quality, balance, and sanity other works in the field.
