UK: The Mystery Book Guild, 1964. 1st Thus . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. 184pp. 12mo. Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles to spine (very slightly rounded at edges, dusty top edge & occasional spotting on text block edges). In a matt, decorative dust jacket in Mystery Book Guild style (a little shelf wear & sunned to spine, and signs of label removal on rear). First published by John Long in 1963. The Mystery Book Guild republished leading mystery novels at the rate of two a month, building an attractively uniform series of classic crime and thrillers. Its diamond design dust jackets are both sought after and pleasing. A little gem for lovers of vintage fiction. Some of the novels in the series are now hard to find in this or any other edition. Book covered in non-adhessive mylar wrap to archival level.
