About This Item
A very nice copy (NF/VG+)of the first edition. While in the Western Himalaya, anthropologist and explorer Michael Peissel encountered the Minaro, a strange tribe of tall, fair-skinned people who hold a set of distinctive beliefs. Could these forgotten people, wondered Peissel, be the 'Dards' of Herodotus 'Histories', inhabitants of a land of giant ants which dig up gold itself. An exciting story of exploration and adventure, The Ants' Gold is also a unique account of the beliefs and ways of life of the last aborigines of Tibet.
A very nice copy. Pages are slightly tanned in places but clean and tidy and with no marking. Cloth boards are tight and clean. DJ is unclipped and with only the most minor shelfwear. Now covered in a professional clear cover. 180 pp with B&W photos and drawings, index. See photos which are of the actual copy for sale
