This is a copy of the new edition, based on the seventeenth edition edited and annotated by J. G. Myers and written by Sir John Lubbock and illustrated by A. J. E. Terzi. This is a highly popular book published during a time when study and investigations into social insects was growing. The book considers ants in the animal kingdom, flowers and insects and wasps. With six plate illustrations, four in colour. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is a light mark to the front board and some bumping to the spine. Internally, firmly bound with bright clean pages with the odd scattered spot throughout. Very Good
