About This Item
This is a rare true first edition, presumed first printing ( number lline "10987654321) of this famous book by its famous author.
The book is in excellent condition except for very light shelf wear at the spine edges of the cover, a name written near the top of the first flyleaf page and some sporadic highlighting and underlining on approximately 44 of the pages. Otherwise, the pages are clear, without tears or foxing. The unclipped dj ($18.00) has some light age toning, and light chipping at the spine edges.
From Wikipedia:
"The Antitrust Paradox is an influential 1978 book by Robert Bork that criticized the state of United States antitrust law in the 1970s. A second edition, updated to reflect substantial changes in the law, was published in 1993. he Antitrust Paradox has shaped antitrust law in several ways, prominently by focusing the discipline on efficiency and articulating its goal as "consumer welfare". Many lawyers and economists,[citation needed] however, have pointed out that Bork was wrong in his analysis of the legislative intent of the Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890 and have criticized him for incorrect economic assumptions and analytical errors. One of the key criticisms focuses on Bork's use of the term "consumer welfare", which became the stated goal of American antitrust law." Book will be priority mailed to any domestic address.
