Robert Charles Swan, OBE, FRGS is a Polar Medal-winning explorer and the first person to walk to both Poles, and the founder of 2041, a foundation dedicated to the preservation of the Antarctic. He was appointed United Nations Environment Program Goodwill Ambassador and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador with Special Responsibility for Youth, was Official Flag Bearer for the Explorers Club of New York to the North Pole and torchbearer of the 2008 Summer Olympics torch relay in St Petersburg, Russia. He has won the Smithsonian Award, 'Freedom of the City of London', the Humanitarian Innovation Lifetime Achievement Award, and the UN NOVUS Award. He is the author of 'In the Footsteps of Scott' and 'Icewalk: a commemoratice souvenir'. Rare signed. Where possible, all books come with dust jacket in a clear protective plastic sleeve, sealed in a ziplock bag, wrapped in bubble wrap, shipped in a box.
