First edition, issued as Hogarth Essays, First Series #18. One of one thousand copies printed, of which four hundred were pulped according to Woolmer 92. Foxed, wraps soiled and scraped, crown of spine bruised and split. A good copy, suitable for Hogarth Press collectors.
