Charleston: John Russell, 1853. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Large octavo, 744pp., illustrated with folding map. A good copy in the publisher's brown cloth. Rebacked in black cloth with original spine laid down. Front and rear free endpapers excised, with some residue to the rear paste-down. Very mildly ex-library, with very faint evidence of an old inked call numebr to spine, attractive bookplate on the front paste-down, and just a couple of stamps. Contents mostly clean and quite sound, with scattered occasional foxing and shallow marginal stains. Folding map in very good condition, mildly foxed. Howes R43 (aa); Sabin 67729; Bradford 4534. Allen Tennesseana 884.
