Attractively produced copy of Allen Drury's novel, which is centered around a female newsperson in Washington, D.C. Illustrated by Uldis Klavins. --- In rich burgundy full bonded leather covers with gilt ornamentation stamped on front, back and spine; three raised bands on spine. All edges gilt. Interior with maroon silk moire endpapers with matching sewn in satin ribbon placemarker. Issued as part of the publisher's First Edition Society series. One of an unspecified number in this limited edition. --- A newish, tightly-bound, unmarked copy but with a few small indentations to back cover and small spots of scuffing to leather at spine ends.; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; (18), 304 pages .
