New York: Selmar Hess. Wraps. Good. no date, presumed 1880s. Blue printed wraps. Pagination runs 167-198, with text presumably beginning mid-passage at the beginning. Color plate of Dippers, Wagtails and Wrens at the front, with black and white illustrations of various birds throughout. A single part (#27) of this work that is often found as a complete bound volume, presumably originally issued in parts as this. With sections on the copper-bellied puff-leg hummingbird, among other birds. GOOD condition. Offsetting along the wrappers' extremities. Minor soiling, fading and toning. Heavy chipping and tearing along the fore edge. Faint owner's stamp on the lower front cover. Minor toning in the interior.
