First unique study of animals of the Forests in West Africa, by an author and scientist who obviously loved and was fascinated by this study and observation -- a study of animals in life, a record of their differences of appearance, behavior and habits, told in a refreshing, personal fashion. 32 illustrations of various animals drawn by the author. The book is in Good Condition. No jacket. Bound in tan pictorial cloth with a type of monkey in his environment on the front and rear boards. Boards are lightly soiled with the gutter browned, spine sunned but gilt lettering is visible. Corners are bumped; a wrinkle on the upper spine and brown spots on lower edge of spine. Endpapers have a name in ink and a drop-like greenish stain in the c enter. Text pages and illustrations clean, clear, unmarked, untorn--very nice condition. 325 pages. 9.5 x 6.25 inches. 1937, The Viking Press, New York, New York, USA
