About This Item

New York: Random Hosue, 1941. Hardcover, small quarto in original special binding of cream colored cloth spine over green, yellow and red marbleized paper, housed in matching marbleized paper coverd slipcase. Printed on Strathmore Olde Laid paper at the Walpole Printing Office, Mount Vernon, New York, by Peter Beilenson. First edition, first printing. One of 100 copies, this being no. 68 signed by Robinson Jeffers on limitation page. Book shows a trace of user wear with a touch of toning to head and heel of back-strip. Interior is untrimmed and fine but for some old tape residue on front and rear pastedowns from prior protective cover. Slipcase shows rubbing to extremities but otherwise is intact. A rare copy of one of the shortest limited edition runs of any of Jeffers books. Very good+ in a near very good slipcase. . Limted/numbered/signed. Hardcover. Very Good+/Not Issued. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
