Brooklyn, New York, U. S. A.: Union Press. Good. 1865. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Volumes I-II (of 3) , third revised edition, one of 30 printed on large paper in a run of 150 copies (Vol. I #47; Vol. II #61 both with editor's initials). Green, white and red marbled paper boards have green Moroccan leather spine and corners with gilt-stamped title info on the spine and gilt top edges with attached green ribbon bookmarks. Both volumes are worn around the edges, have bumped corners, soil markings and sunned spines; both are missing their frontispiece. Volumes are paged continuously followed by 32-pages of additional anecdotes and an index. T. W. Fields edited the books and wrote the preface in volume I, which also has a reproduction of the original (1822) title page. From the Introduction: "I have anxiously endeavoured, to engage some youthful patriot, to collect and preserve for the benefit of future generations, as many anecdotes relative to the war of 1776, as appear worthy of record, and particularly, such, as have escaped the attention of Historians."
