About This Item
London: Goodman/Carlton, 2009. Near Fine. 2nd printing. The oversized book is tight, and square with good tips and a clean interior. No writing, bookplate, or marks and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. This beautifully illustrated biography includes over 20 beautifully produced removable facsimile documents that help give an unprecedented insight into Warhol's life and work (pictured are just a few), with 300 color photographs. 125 pages. 10½ x 12" tall.
Much of the material is previously unpublished and follows the arc of his rags-to-riches life, from his early years in Depression-era Pittsburgh to his success as an illustrator in New York City in the 1950s to his transformation into a notorious Pop Artist, underground filmmaker, author, publisher, collector, recorder, and iconic celebrity.
