Musee d'Angers, France, 1998. This is a near fine softcover copy with almost no wear. Completely clean. Text in FRENCH. This monograph was prepared to accompany the exhibition in France at the Abbey de Ronceray d'Angers from July 11 to September 20, 1998. Illustrated with 36 color plates + many black & white images from throughout Borderie's career. Andre Borderie (1923- 1998) began working with abstract textile designs in the early 1950's. He continued making these rugs and wall hangings, as well as ceramics, through the 1980's. Many of them were produced by Aubusson. Texts by Agnes Varda, Jean Monnier, Francoise de Loisy, and Jean-Louis Pradel. Remembrances by a number of Borderie's colleagues. 10" square, 96 pages.
