ORIGINAL ANTIQUE MAP (etching, engraved by A. de Putter)) of the ISLAND OF MALTA representing a contemporary view of the island, but also illustrating St. Paul's shipwreck in the year 60 AD. Eloborate legend. Size of the illustrated area: 42,7cm x 31, 3 cm (incl. title) - (17,4 x 12,77 inch)- very good margins (with a few minimal faint brownish stains- see photo) Size of the leaf: 49, 3 x 48cm (20,1 x 19,6 inch). Original folding marks and very few very fine unobstrusive crease marks. Date is printed on the etching (left corner). Very good condition, strong paper quality and clear imprint. Rarely to be found with English title! - Airmail shipping incl. worldwide
