About This Item

Boston, MA Sherman, French & Company, 1915. Hardcover First Edition (1915), unstated, but implied: same date at title and copyright pages, according to Sherman, French & Company's customary practice. First Edition (1915), unstated, but implied: same date at title and copyright pages, according to Sherman, French & Company's customary practice. Very Good+ in Fair semi-opaque paper DJ: The Book shows indications of very careful use; top edge dust-dulled; foxing to the deckle fore-edge and bottom edge; a small dark stain at the bottom edge of the front panel; former owner's name and date in pencil at the front free endpaper and the words "Her Book" written under the owner's name; the binding is square and remains quite secure; the text is clean. The DJ shows heavy wear: chip loss; a large section torn away at the lower front panel; surely has darkened from its original clarity (though we have never examined a pritine example, of course). NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (7.75 x 5.35 x 0.85 inches). 4-page Verse Introduction followed by 181 pages. Language: English. Weight: 12.8 ounces. Powder-blue quarter-cloth boards with aqua titles and art-deco style designs at the front panel and backstrip. Hardback with with original semi-opaque paper DJ.
