Set in ancient Greece around 500 BC, "Anabasis" is the story of Auria, a young girl who is born into slavery but is taken on as an apprentice to the gentle genius Philokrates, who spent his last few years teaching Auria all that he could about healing, nature, politics, geography and human nature.

When Philokrates dies, Auria becomes more aware than ever that she is a slave and fated to a life of servitude.
