Philadelphia: Hogan & Thompson. Good+. 1845. early printing. Hardcover. Engraved frontis and title page; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 288 pages; 1845 Hogan & Thompson, Philadelphia. Early printing. Small format HC in dulled black cloth with titles blocked in gilt to cover and spine unlettered. Appears to have been rebound late 19th century. Engraved extra title page dated 1839; engraved frontispiece. Binding sound; light shelf bumping to boards at corners and mild shelf wear to cloth externals. Some largely erased stray pencil scribbled to the frontis and extra title leaf. Trace damp line to front endpage gutters; some pencil sums to the rear endpage. First two pages of text a little stressed, with a pair of shallow nicks to margins. Contents generally clean with just occasional light foxing. Uncommon early 19th C etiquette and guide for women. G+ .
