First Edition, FIrst Printing. Blue cloth with silver lettering on spine. A withdrawn x-library copy with stamps on top edge and title page, library pocket on rear endpapaper. The interior is otherwise clean and unmarked and the binding is solid. The unclipped dustjacket shows original $8.95 price and is taped to the boards. Protected in mylar. Written in the 1940's as a second part to Black Boy, Wright's acclaimed autobiography, and published here for the first time with an afterward by Wright scholar and biographer Michel Fabre. Carefully packaged and shipped in a box.
