Later edition of work first published in 1872, with 'American Girl's Series' on front cover. In full grey cloth-covered boards with illustration and titling on cover in green; titling and decoration in gilt and green. Tissue-protected engraved illustration at frontis as well as 5 others (with one missing plate at page 196. Volume is firm and tight, but with whitish cover blemish and slightly darkened spine. --- An account of a European trip during the latter part of the 19th century in a charming copy. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 245, (10, ads) pages .
