About This Item
Berkeley, CA: University of California Press, 1945. First edition. Hardcover. VG+. Rebound in red buckram cloth, bright gilt stamping to spine, minor wear, clean and tightly bound; internally fine, unmarked. No dust jacket. Inscribed and signed by the author to Allan Nevins (with ink offset to facing page). I do not know if the recipient is the historical writer. The book had a red sticker on the spine, number 69 (does anyone know if the American historian Allan Nevins did this to his personal library?)
