Light scuffing to spine and light soiling to top edge. Off-white dust jacket with red, blue, and black type, and large black-and-white image of author on back. Light soiling to front and spine of dust jacket. Inscribed by author to a friend of Horgan's. Contains a separate note from Horgan dedicating this copy as a retirement gift to a friend, typed on Wesleyan University stationary and signed on May 25, 1985. Published in celebration of Paul Horgan's eightieth birthday, this volume is a rich selection from among the author's twoscore books. Contains an introduction by Henry Steel Commager. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 393 pp; Signed by Author .
