New York, NY: Farrar, Straus and Giroux (BYR), 1976. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. First edition of this beloved Caldecott Award winning children's book. Condition: Dust Jacket spine has slight rubbing with minor bending to the top. Front cover of the dust jacket has a small tear on the top left corner and thin horizontal patch of sticker residue in the same corner and light marking of used tape on all corners, the rear of the dust jacket has a tear on the top right corner, and sunning on bottom 2/3rd, inner fold of dust jacket is price clipped with a note in pencil highlighting the book's Caldecott award. Front cover and 2 title pages have slight foxing. A great copy for any children's book shelf.
