This work is in green cloth binding with a decorative motif to the front and to the spine. This work is comprised of a collection of issues from the weekly Amateur Gardening magazine. These particular issues date from May 1904 until April 1905. Founded in 1884 by Shirley Hibberd, Amateur Gardening is the UK's oldest gardening weekly that still runs today. The heavily illustrated magazine includes news, advice, feature articles, and celebrity interviews. Illustrated throughout. Colour plates mostly lacking, with plates only present on pages 150, 172, 194, 266, 376, 391 and 642. Smart label to the rear paste down. Ink inscription of Edith A. Jones to front endpaper. In green cloth binding with decorative gilt design. Externally sound, with some wear to the extremities. Slight rubbing to the boards and the spine. A few small tears to the extremities, causing loss to cloth. Slight bumping to spine. Marks to boards and spine. Age toning and slight spotting to endpapers. Offsetting to endpapers. Label to the rear paste down. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Internally generally firmly bound. Pages 627-630 disbound but present. Lacking a number of plates, as mentioned. Age toning and he occasional spot to pages. Good
