MP3 Audio CD. There is very few things known for sure about the author Olive Wadsley. Her birth date, as well as the year of her death, are not known for sure; she supposedly lived between 1859-1959. However, it is known for sure that she was interested in languages nad theater and has been writing actively for a publication named ?The Star? during 1920-1935. There are also sources that credit her as being a passionate motorist. She is also the author of ?The Flame?, published in 1913, a novel that inspired the 1920 British silent romance film with the same title.

?Almond-Blossom? was published in 1921, and its story follows the relationships that develop between the members of a family.

The story begins with Fay and Tony who have lost a child (a young son) and are still grieving. One day, Tony manages to save a little girl from drowning. She comes from an impoverished family and Tony thinks that it would be a good idea to adopt her. He slowly starts talking with Fay about it, encouraging the idea. Doro, the little girl, is so lovely and beautiful that Fay`s answer is predictably positive, so she and Tony end up adopting Doro.

Their happiness grows even more when Fay discovers that she is expecting a child. They will have a son named Rex, but their happiness will be followed by tragedy as the kids grow and the family relationships change significantly. Everybody will have to struggle with different family situations, from growing up issues to loss and grief.

This novel shows very well how time works its way upon people and relationships ? even the closest ones! The members of this family come to the realization that even if they've known each other for so long, time makes every one of them to see the others in a different light, as their life experiences go deeper.
