London: John Wilkie for the Company of Stationers, 1782. Fine in matching slipcase that has darkened. 16mo. (4" x 2 1/8"), 4p. Printed in red and black. In a beautiful binding of full red straight-grained morocco with marbled endpapers, a.e.g., the spine and covers with densely gilt ornamentation. Goldsmith miniature almanacks for other years, 1681-1840, are listed in Welsh 3090-3094 and Spielmann 167-170B.

London: Harrison and Sons for J. Greenhill, 1862. Softcover . Used - very good. Miniature Book; Miniature Book. 4 x 2 3/16. Bound in full navy blue silk, which is lightly stained and spotted. Binding is tight and text clean with just a hint of foxing. Housed in velvet cover with brass ornamentation. The velvet and brass are lightly rubbed. It appears the thread(?) which laced through the 4 fabric loops for closure is missing.

London: Company of Stationers, 1792. Hardcover. Very Good. 16mo in the original very ornate binding of green, red and cream leather onlays with gilt, housed in a matching slipcase. Marbled endpapers, many leaves printed in red and black. One small blotch at the top of the cover, a very small chip at the base of the spine. A few very small blotches and spots of rubbing to the slipcase. A handsome little volume overall.

Description:
London: Printed for the Company of Stationers, and Sold by Robert Horsfield, 1793. First edition. Full Decorated Calf Binding and Slipcase. Very Good. Highly decorative full calf binding, with similarly decorative full calf slipcase as well. 32mo. 103 by 52 mm. 48 pp. Both the binding and the slipcase have elaborate gilt decoration -- floral motives, border swirls or rinceaus, a red oval centerpiece, etc. Some blotched stains on one side of the slipcase, and a few small stains elsewhere on the slipcase and the cover proper, with slight darkening overall on both. Still, both are highly ornamental and attractive. Clean and tight within.

Very beautiful publisher's Venetian mosaic style inlaid calf in red, green, and cream, with elaborate gilt tooling; housed in a matching slipcase; a.e.g., marbled endpapers. First gathering loose but pages crisp and clean. Binding and slipcase lightly rubbed as expected with an object of daily use. London, R. Hett Junior, 1760. Origineel rood marokijn leren band, goud-op-snee boekblok, 12° H. 11 x L. 6 x W. 1,5 cm. (Eerste katern in rood en zwart gedrukt, aan het begin en eind meerdere blanco bladen. Op de titelpagina een eigenaarsstempel. Op de achterzijde van de band is op twee plaatsen een stukje leer weg) Een mooi gebonden Engelse almanak uit 1760 met sloten en een metalen pen. Contemporary red morocco binding, gilt-edged text block, 12° H. 11 x L. 6 x W. 1,5 cm. (First gathering, calendar, printed in red and black and interleaved, duty stamp in red ink on the title, blank leaves supplied at beginning and end. A piece of leather is missing in two places on the back cover.) Attractive contemporary red morocco binding with decorative border in gilt, metal catches, and a metal linking pin. Spine gilt in compartments. Goldsmith first published his almanac in 1663 and it ran in similar form until the early nineteenth century. Most editions are uncommon, of this 1760 issue no copy in WorldCat.
