Hardback, 1903, third impression, published by Longmans, Green, and Co., London.
Cloth boards and spine, pictorial front board. Gilt lettering and detail to front board and spine. Some fading to spine with a tear at top. Boards are scuffed and a little marked but have retained much of their colouring. Signs of rubbing and shelf-wear. Binding reasonably firm, hinges intact. Page edges browned and foxed. Previous owner name in pencil to FFEP and title page. Foxing to endpapers and a little throughout the book but otherwise page surfaces are quite clean, odd marks here and there but no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
