'All Hallows' Eve', is the last of seven novels of the supernatural by the British writer Charles Williams, originally published in the same year as his death. Williams continues to explore the themes of good and evil, the deterioration of the human soul and thrilling mystical experiences. Charles Williams was a British poet, novelist and playwright, and a member of the Inklings literary group associated with C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien. The half title page is present. With a neat ink signature from the previous owner to the front free endpaper. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the edges. The odd light mark to the boards. Previous owner's ink signature to the front free endpaper. The original clipped dust wrapper is in very smart condition. Some light shelf wear to the edges and some chipping to the spine. Two closed tears to the lower spine. Spine is darkened. Age-toning to the edges of the panels. Internally, firmly bound.
