Tarrant, Margaret w.. 332 pp tan cloth with black writing and set in colour oval illustration of Alice and the rabbit. 48 coloured plates Publication date not shown but circa 1915. Published by Ward, Lock & Co, London & Melbourne. Contains 48 beautiful coloured plates by Margaret W. Tarrant. Includes a dustjacket in good condition - has 1in missing from top right hand corner of dj. Dust Jacket shows Alice holding hands (paws? Claws) with some fantastical animals. Prince Charming Colour books for Children advert on rear flap of dust jacket.
Book is unmarked and in excellent order. London Ward, Lock circa 1915.. Tan cloth, lettered and designed in black. Colour illustrated endpapers. 48 full-page color illustrations by MARGARET TARRANT. Price not cut off but round hole where price would be. Title page calls it Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - different to dust jacket and cover.

Synopsis

Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel, Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There , tell the story of a young girl in a fantasy world filled with peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. The classic tale of literary nonsense takes the reader on an exploration of logic and absurdities. The Alice books — sometimes combined or referred to with the abbreviated title Alice in Wonderland — have been translated into at least 97 languages with over a hundred different editions. The books have also been adapted numerous times into films (both live-action and cartoon), plays, and musicals.
