Three-quarter maroon leather, gilt lettering and decoration; TEG; marbled endpapers in original glassine dustjacket; housed in publisher's somewhat worn numbered box. Book is in fine condition; dustjacket has some chips and tears. The biography of Alfred Irénée duPont (1864-1935), an American industrialist, financier, philanthropist and a member of America's most illustrious chemical manufacturing family. DuPont was a man of intense convictions and determination to pave his own path earning him a reputation as the duPont's "family rebel." - wiki.
