West Virginia University Press, 1992. Book. Good. Soft cover. Presumed 1st Edition. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Paperback book is bound in photo-illustrated cover. Book has soil on the cover and wear on the edges. Interior tight and unmarked. 76 pages, black and white photo illustrations. This 7-mile long canal was in use from 1843-1886. After abandonment for more profitable means of transportation, the canal silted it. In 1978 efforts began to locate the locks and initiate historical preservation..
