Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott and Co., 1868. Wear to covers including bumped corners, possible water damage to front cover. Water stain visible on lower corner blank fep and up to title page of book (three pages, nothing obscured) The author has dedicated this book to "The Queen" (Victoria) and named the "Albert N'yanza in memory of the late illustrious and lamented Prince Consort" (Albert) 499 pages including index with some tanning. Separation inside front and back hinges. Color map of The Albert N'yanza has been mended with tape in one spot and has an inch tear along fold in another spot. It folds easily and was attached during publishing. Binding is broken at pages 176/177 with covers and pages firmly attached. 2nd American Edition.
