About This Item

Carbondale, IL Southern Illinois University Press, 1970. Hardcover First Edition Thus (1970), suspect a later printing thereof, as the LC number begins with 75. No subsequent printings listed. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. First Edition Thus (1970); we suspect that this may be a later printing thereof, as the LC number begins with 75. On the other hand, there are no subsequent printings listed, as would have been Southern Illinois University Press's customary practice. Near Fine in Very Good+ DJ: The Book shows a touch of crimping to the heel of the backstrip and even milder crimp to the head of same; else, flawless; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of any creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. Free of ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, or labels. A very nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing a couple of minor. unobtrusive imperfections. Bright, crisp and clean. Corners sharp. Virtually 'As New'. The DJ shows very light wear to the upper corner tips; faint sun-blanching and toning, mainly to the backstrip (the black titles are unaffected, but the white titles thereon are, while still legible, read with more difficulty than when new), but also around the edges of the panels; the mildest rubbing to the rear panel; the price is unclipped. No longer 'As New', but remains close to it. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (8.75 x 5.75 x 0.75 inches). x, 161 pages. Illustrated with numerous duotone drawings photographs. Maps. Foreward by the author. Language: English. Weight: 15 ounces. Hardback with DJ. >54215 INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR.
