Very good decorative cloth hardcover with marbled page edges shows gilt letter and illustration to cover and spine while showing light soil to covers, shelf wear that includes rubbing at edges and bumping to corners, bit of fade to gilt letter at spine, name and place written at front blank, tear with tape mend to tipped in side of tipped in map at title page and some other mild trace wear. 527 pages with black & white plates, tipped in map at title page and foldout map at page 17. Still a pleasing copy of this work that includes a "..full account of the discovery of gold; enormous deposits of the precious metal; routes traversed by miners; how to find gold; camp life at Klondike.." with "practical instructions for fortune seekers, etc. etc. including a graphic description of the gold regions; land of wonders; immense mountains, rivers and plans, native inhabitants, etc." and much, much more.
