New York: Henry Holt and Company,, 1932. An excellent copy of the US edition of Powell's first book First US edition, first printing of Powell's first novel. The UK edition was published the previous year by Gerald Duckworth and Company, London. Octavo. Original light grey-green cloth, titles to spine in blue. With dust jacket. Bookseller's ticket to rear pastedown. Front board and spine ends slightly bumped, small white stain to bottom corner of rear board, edges and endpapers lightly toned. An excellent copy in a worn jacket with rubbed and chipped extremities, a small dark mark to front panel, a couple of short splits to head of spine, front flap torn off and loosely inserted.
