Boston: Little, Brown and Company. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. [1963]. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. A stated American first Little, Brown edition of Anthony Powell's first novel. In this story, Powell's assortment of carefree artists, writers and other members of "Bohemia" enjoy parties and bouts of drinking in London following World War I. An undated copy, probably published c.1963. This work first published in England in 1931 by Duckworth, and debuted in America with the Henry Holt edition of 1932. --- In brown textured paper-covered boards with spine titling in black. Dust jacket features John Alcorn image of a clock with a human face, showing the time to be about 12 minutes past 3 o'clock. --- With foxing to textblock edges and endpapers, else a tightly-bound, unmarked, sound copy. Unclipped jacket ($4.95) also with some mild foxing and light soiling, else intact and wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; Small Octavo - 7-1/2 to 8 in. tall; (12), 221 pages .
