This collection of photographs gathers Riefenstahl's images of the Nuba, Dinka, Shilluk, and Masai tribes of Africa. It was published on the photographer's 100th birthday. Folio. Original blue reptile-skin-effect boards, spine and front cover lettered in black. Housed in the publisher's blue reptile-effect clamshell box, lettered in black. Illustrated throughout with full-page photographs: the colour images colour-separated and reproduced in Aniva, the finest reproduction technique available at the time, the duotone illustrations made with Novatone, a special treatment for black and white images that produces exquisite tonal range and density. Text in English, German and French. All in fine condition.
