Richly illustrated with color photographs, many full page, of nomad tribes and their extraordinary craftsmanship. "Worn by men and women -whose bodies are also often painted or decoratively scarred, whose hair may be plaited or piled up elaborately or tinted with ocher, animal fat, or mud- the objects are often of great value, cast in gold or wrought in silver, inlaid with semi-precious stones, ivory, or coral" (publisher). DJ with very light wear along edge, one very small closed tear at top of spine. Binding with light scuffing at lower right corner of front cover. Former owner's Ex Libris on inside cover and name inked onto free front endpaper. Light age-toning of block along edges not affecting images. DJ, Binding and interior in overall good+ condition.
