Bensley, Andover, for the Author, 183 Fleet Street,, 1829. 12mo., First Edition, First Issue, some light and inoffensive age-staining, three leaves (B7-B12) a little loose; attractively bound in contemporary tan diced calf, boards framed in gilt and blind, back with flat gilt bands, second compartment with red leather label lettered in gilt, all other compartments tooled with floral spray in blind, brown endpapers, sprinkled edges, a very good, bright, crisp copy in wholly unrestored period binding. First Issue, printed by Bensley [not Mills Jowett Mills], collected from the original fourteen monthly parts, unpaginated, in 355 numbered paragraphs. THE FIRST ISSUE IS SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION. Pearl 171.
