Auckland, NZ: Whitcombe and Tombs; (no date). First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Presumed first edition, very good in original stiff cardboard covers with a handlettered (and hand-illustrated) dust jacket which is glued to the spine of the book (as published). 1931 gift inscription on the front endpaper, light foxing to page edges. Has color frontispiece and three other full page color illustrations by Alice Polson, as well as numerous black & white drawings. 119 pages plus a one page ad at rear for the publisher's "Exquisite Juvenile Gift Books" of which this book is one of the titles. A nicely preserved example.
