About This Item

Philadelphia, 1808. Original Wrappers. Very Good binding. Octavo. 13, [3 (blank)] pp. Stitched, as issued; unopened. Light soiling to the covers; early pencil catalog number on the front cover; presentation stamp deep in the inner margin of the first page. Interesting piece of campaign literature in opposition to James Ross for governor and discussing at length his role in the presidential election debacle of 1800 and especially his bill that attempted to take from Congress the role it constitutionally was required to play. Shaw & Shoemaker 14293; Sabin 60787.
