Armorial bookplate signed A(?) Bouverie, bearing the Latin inscription "Patria Cara Carior Libertas" ("Dear homeland freedom dearer"). Two volumes in contemporary calf, later expertly rebacked 19th c. calf with five raised bands and lettered in gilt. Very Good, corners rubbed, light foxing to end papers only. . First Edition. Full Calf. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
