About This Item
New York: Vantage Press. Near Fine in Near Fine dj. (c.1992). First Edition. Hardcover. [very slight bumping to bottom corners, affecting both book and jacket]. Vanity-press novel set in "the post-Korean War world of Hollywood intrigue," this is "the searing odyssey of a man who was born to be a sex god -- a perfect specimen in face and body. Women desired him, men envied him; but Mark Thor, the actor, had a desperate secret." (Spoiler alert: he's an alcoholic.) According to the jacket blurb, this book was "written on an epic scale"; well, you can do that sort of thing when you're footing the bill for the printing. Laid in is a brief TLS from the author to the book's original owner. .
