Lakeside Press, 1948. Hardcover. Near Fine. A Near Fine volume with a still bright top edge gilt. Bound in Red cloth. A clean, tight volume, NO markings. Bright spine titles and decoration to front. A 1" x 1/2" Cincinnati bookseller 'sticker' on inside front lower cover. Rear book board has two small blemishes, one from a small glass 'ring' and a tiny spot of foxing to lower closed pages. Illustrated with a USA map showing 'the California Road' and several sepia reproductions (all with tissue guards in place). Index at rear. A lovely copy. No jacket as issued. 170 pages. Protected in a mylar slip.
