(3 portraits) & 6 full-page wood engravings. old half calf (spine & corners damaged, light dampstain just at outer edge of frontis. which is lightly browned, 1 marginal defect). John Thurtell, Thomas Hunt and William Probert were tried for murdering a gambling associate, William Weare. Thurtell was found guilty and executed on Jannuary 9, 1824.
