About This Item
Albany, New York: Joel Munsell's Sons, 1886. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good. A full and detailed portrait of the Seneca chief whose magnificent oratory masked his schemes to maintain his position despite double-dealing against his people's interests. Munsell's Historical Series, No. 13. Octavo: xv, [1], 356 p. with a frontispiece portrait and 8 plates. Original burgundy cloth binding, with a printed paper spine label. Partially uncut. Minor staining to one of the plates. Though the hinges are starting, the binding is quite sound. The spine is a touch sun faded, with some general toning to the paper label; otherwise very good.
