TITLE CONTINUED: Secretary to the late Neapolitan Ambassador, First Aerial Traveller in England, an Honorary Member of the Hon. Artillery Company of the City of London, Royal Archer of Scotland, Citizen of Edinburgh, Cupar, St. Andrew's, Hawick. FIRST EDITION 1786. 8vo, approximately 205 x 120 mm, 8¼ x 4¾ inches, hand coloured engraved frontispiece and 2 engraved plates with dividing tissue guard, pages: [6] including half-title,1-114, plus [2] explanation of the plate on verso, bound in full contemporary sheep, stained to resemble tree calf, red morocco gilt lettered label and gilt rules to spine. Binding slighly rubbed, upper hinge cracked but firmly attached, slight cracking to lower hinge, small chip to head of spine on upper and lower hinges, slight wear to corners with board showing at tips, stabholes to inner margins, pale stain to edges of pastedowns and endpapers at front and rear, 2 small pale stains to margins of page 65/66, otherwise a very good copy of a scarce edition with the uncommon hand coloured frontispiece.
